RC4 Encrypt/Decrypt

What is RC4 Encryption

Rivest Cipher 4 is referred to as RC4. In 1987, Ron Rivest created the stream cipher known as RC4. Since RC4 is a stream cipher, the data stream is encrypted one byte at a time. Due to its efficiency and simplicity, RC4 is the most extensively used stream cipher available.

What is RC4 Decryption

As you may know, decryption is the total opposite of encryption. The process of turning an encrypted RC4 string back to its original format is called RC4 decryption. Since RC4 encryption needs a secret key to encrypt the data, it is very important to provide the right secret key during the decryption process.

Encrypting and decrypting RC4 can be time-consuming, especially when you don’t have enough knowledge about RC4 encryption and decryption. Since there is a lot of complexity and some sort of learning curve is involved, most of the users end up using an online RC4 encrypt/decrypt tool to get the job done as soon as possible.

We have so many online tools available to encrypt and decrypt RC4, but not every online tool gives an accurate result and that is why we have created this online RC4 encrypt/decrypt tool. It is a very simple and easy-to-use tool. Most important thing is that it is beginner-friendly.

How to Use RC4 Encrypt/Decrypt Tool

  • As you can see, we have 2 input fields and 1 dropdown. For instance, you want to encrypt a string with RC4 encryption.
  • From the first dropdown, select Encrypt and in the first input field, enter a string.
  • In the password field, enter the secret key.
  • Click on Get button. The tool will encrypt the string with RC4 encryption and display the result in the second input field.
