Snefru-128 is a cryptographic hash function that takes an input and produces a message digest of 128-bit which is equivalent to 16 bytes. Ralph Merkle invented Snefru in 1990 while working at Xerox PARC.
Following in the footsteps of the Khufu and Khafre block ciphers, it was named after the Egyptian Pharaoh Sneferu. Snefru-128 hash is composed of 32 hexadecimal characters.
